A bad choice can be frustrating not to mention a waste of money and time.
It All Starts with a Theme
It’s a common dilemma for parents who wanted to throw a fun party for their child is on how to start planning so that they could get the right party supplies. If you’re in this situation, start with a preferred theme. You can ask your kid what he or she wants for her birthday party. Girls might want some fairy themed parties or your boy wants to have some Iron Man themed birthday party. From that point, you’ll be able to buy the right supplies and plan the fitting activities. Once you got the theme, it’s time to look for the right supplies for your kids. Here’s my personal method on shopping for the perfect supplier: I usually visit party suppliers in my area before going online. They have to provide COMPLETE accessories for the party. I emphasize the word complete because they practically have to provide everything – plates, decorations, hats, souvenirs and if the supplier is just nearby: the cake. It’s highly advisable to stick to one supplier so that you can easily negotiate the final price. Uniformity of the design and colors will never be a problem when you have a single supplier.
Tips in Choosing an Online Supplier
If there are no suppliers that would fit your kid’s preference in your area, never hesitate to go online. But here are some thoughts on choosing the online supplier:
- The shipping – anticipate a relatively large bill when you ask for complete party supplies but they can be negotiable as well if you stick to a single company.
- The size – this is very tricky because they might look big online but smaller when they arrive. Learn about the exact measurement (feet, meters, yards, cm, etc.) and have it in writing.
Have a theme-based birthday party to easily find the right supplier. It will add color to the party and your kid will have a party that he or she really likes.
