A beach party is one of the best activities in summer. The water, sand and sun immediately bring out the lighter side of everyone. You can even say that as soon as you hit the beach, the party is already starting even though you haven’t started preparing the food. Beach games and entertainment are important aspects of the beach party. The games you choose are based on the age of the people around you. For an adult setting, beach volleyball, soccer, touch football and even limbo games can be a fun activity. For kids, sand castle and shell collection competition should be more than enough.
Fortunately, you don’t’ have to spend too much on entertainment. Just bring your mp3 player with loud speakers and that’ll take care of entertainment. Although it could be fun to have a DJ or a band, the mp3 set-up with speakers is easier because of logistics.
Protection and Food
Complementing the fun activities and entertainment is protection from the heat of the sun and food. Expect everyone to bring their preferred sun blocks but as much as possible, prepare a good number of umbrellas. If you don’t have the fund to acquire a number of umbrellas for the guests, inform them in advance.
In terms of food: here are two simple ideas: stick to the grill or ask everyone to bring what they can. If you can plan for a week or two before the party, then you could bring the grill and drinks for everyone to enjoy. Stick to easy preparation since you still want your cook to have some fun under the sun. If you don’t have time to plan, ask everyone to bring what they can from their fridge to the beach.
These four factors will ensure a great beach party. Everyone will be protected, have something to eat and have fun in various activities and games.
